2025 Herbs
Basil
Cinnamon, Dark Opal, Holy, Lemon, Sweet Italian, and Sweet Thai. All are annuals.
Chives, Cilantro, Dill, Lemon Grass, Parsley, and Garden Sage
Grown from seed here in our greenhouse. Chives and garden sage are perennials, but all others are annuals in our area.
Lavender
Anouk Deep Rose, Phenomenal, and Munstead. All varieties are hardy in zone 5.
Mint
Apple, Chocolate, Kentucky Colonel (spearmint), Mojito, Orange, Peppermint, Pineapple, and Strawberry. All are perennial in this area, but are also highly invasive.
Oregano
Golden, Greek, and Italian. All perennial to zone 5.
Pineapple Sage
Annual only but a great hummingbird attractor.
Rosemary
Barbeque and Gorizia. There are no rosemary varieties that are hardy in zone 5.
French Tarragon
Hardy in our zone.
Thyme
Faustinoi (French), English, and Golden Lemon Variegated thyme. Also non-culinary creeping thyme. All varieties are perennial in this area except Golden Lemon Variegated.
Lemon Verbena
Not hardy in zone 5.
